About IRDCI

The Iranian Research and Development Center for Chemical Industries was founded in 1990.
IRDCI is a professional research center of more than 30 staff that provides leadership in the chemistry and chemical engineering profession in Iran.
Its researchers are creative problem-solvers who use their scientific and technical knowledge to develop processes and design and operate plants to make useful products at a reasonable cost.
Chemists and chemical engineers are also at the forefront of research to assure the safe and environmentally manufacture, use, and disposal of chemical products.IRDCI supports the professional and personal growth of its researchers.

IRDCI consists of three parts:

(1) Pilot plant center:
In this part there is some equipments like glass-lined reactor, Oslo crystallizer, solid -liquid and liquid-liquid Extractor, Gas chromatography and some other chemical and chemical engineering pilot equipments. Chemicals likes; Glycerol mono-stearate, Pharmaceuticals such as potassium chloride, Benzoic acid, chlorofibrate and sodium benzoate and methyl methacrylate dental liquid are produced in this center in pilot plant scale.

(2) Chemistry and Chemical Engineering research groups:
IRDCI research’s goal is in the line of chemical industries problems in Iran and their responsibility is to solve these problems. IRDCI includes three research groups, Mathematical modeling, process simulation and pilot plant group, Inorganic chemical industries group, and Energy group.

(3) Iranian Journal of chemistry and chemical engineering:
IRDCI has also published a famous semi-annular Iranian Journal with the name of “Iranian Journal of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering”.
